Typeshayar is a gathering where type meets poetry, and form meets voice. It is a space to explore how design and language shape each other, and how they carry meaning beyond the surface.
We believe typography is not only about how words look, and poetry is not only about how words sound — both are ways of expressing, questioning, and connecting.
Through this platform, we aim to bring together poets, designers, and thinkers to share perspectives, exchange ideas, and celebrate the richness of scripts, stories, and cultures.

As a seasoned educator with over 18 years of industry experience in visual storytelling, advertising, marketing, and branding, I’ve discovered that typography truly “lights my fire”. The Def Leppard Hysteria album cover captured my imagination in 8th grade, forever altering my perception of typefaces. Since then, I’ve been captivated by their power to convey emotion and meaning.

By day, I step into the classroom as an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Srishti Manipal School of Art, Design and Technology, where teaching sharpens both my curiosity and craft. By night, I shift gears to sculpt paper into forms that feel part architecture, part dreamscape.
